Hsbc selling scams of premier services:

----------------------------

Don't ever get duped by HSBC staff or HSBC agents who will try to persuade you to open Premier account with around 10 lakhs rupee deposit.

Once you sign the application, you will realise that you are trapped. The actual amount is 25 lakhs and none of bank staff or manger will answer on this and blame you for that.

So just beware before you wish to go with HSBC NRI services.

On top of that in last so many months I could't take, withdraw or use my money unless i go to india.

As

a) Their transfer facility doesn;t work on internet banking specially on Nri accounts. I am struck since 2007.

b) Phone banking staff are jokers, they just cannot coordinate with their operations.

c) Nodal officers couldn;t solve and fix the issue of my inability to use accounts, transfers etc. Srinivasan and Sowmya sankar, Jerlin Xavier were found to be total unprofessional in providing resolution.

d) They will squeeze out money from your accounts without any proper clarification.

e) Most of their senior and entry level staff are not properly trained to answer and fix the problems, as I feel all of them are good in English but hardly few are university graduates or properly trained to perform work. Because entry level staff are low paid and they are forced to achieve target, without any service.

In all I would say HSBC NRI SERVICES ***.. STEER CLEAR FROM THESE JOKERS. IT IS VERY UNCOMRTABLE AND RISKY TO DEAL WITH THIS BANK . I AM TALKING ABOUT HSBC INDIA.

IF YOU NEED PEACE OF MIND OPT OUT OF HSBC INDIA, AND USE SOMEOTHER BETTER BANK ( EXCEPT ICICI, AS HSBC AND ICICI BOTH ARE INCOMPETENT AND OPERATE IN SIMILAR UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE MANNER.

I am going to jump on the band wagon as another sufferer.

When I opened the account, they said there was no min balance limit and after few months they said that they have changed their poilicy and I will have to maintain minimum balance of so and so. They actually charged me for that a couple of times.

What is worse is the way they put our account to sleep if there is no activity and if you want to have access to the money from that account, you have to send wades of papers.

Complete and utter shame. Bunch of bollocks working there.

Agh, feel better now.

HSBC India's customer service is appalling. They take no responsibility for anything.
Every year it is a huge hassle to obtain a TDS certificate from them, just to pay my taxes.
I really regret opening an account with them.

10000 usd for opening a priemer account With hsbc India.

I can confirm the above statements to be true as I was trapped the same way to open NRE account and then charged for not maintaining minimum balance, which as per the form I signed I had. They had updated the minimum balance requirement apparently the same month without informing me and started charging fine.

They service is pathetic and the mailings that they send are a joke. I have still not received my debit card after 8 months and 3 service requests, every time being told this time it will be positively done. What's even more entertaining is that I was told that I hadn't requested for internet banking and debit card when I have a copy of the form proving otherwise!

I am looking to close this account, but can't fine any details on how to do so.

I too am a victim of HSBC Premier Account fee (~Rs 2500 every 3 months) that I did not sign up to pay for at the time of opening my FCNR deposit & NRI accounts in 2004. In 2011, despite having a deposit in my FCNR account the bank started deducting Premier Account fees from my NRI account without my consent, for NO services that I availed of ..
It seems the HSBC India is a SCAM operation to milk the trapped customers.. I have had enough, I am closing my account at HSBC..

I had a savings account at their kolkata office. Since I did not use it for some time they kept the account inactive. Last year I personally went to their Kolkata office and under the advise from their Manager I gave them a written instruction to activate the account and transfer the money to an account in different Bank.

Till today they did not transfer the money but continuing regularly to deduct some penalty from the account.

I think we should report these HSBC NRI practices to the Ministry of NRI ---, Govt. of India.

I am a victim too. One of the manager asked me to open a primier account with just 3k. I resisted and sent my application form. Since then have heard nothing. I called and was told that they actullay did not recieve an application by post. I trust Royal Mail more..I am with HSBC UK since six years and did not have a problem. It is the NRI services, I am dismayed.

i had an AT&T universal credit card 7years ago. no bal when closed.HSBC buys a c/c list and now they say i owe $1275.00 (limit was $300.00). never heard from HSBC til now with a summons to appear(NOT GONNA HAPPEN) so BEWARE they are CROOKED and want more!

I am also a victim of HSBC India.
While trying to transfer money through HSBC India they showed me error message saying the transfer could not go through and later deducted money from my account twice.On complaining to them i just got vague response and till date no body has been able to tell me how they will refund my money.Its teh most horrible service i have ever received

This is very painful for me to become a HSBC customer, I got a credit card from HSBC credit card champagne scheme. At offer they said there is no annual charges, I never used this card for any transaction and there is no overdue amount to bank. Bank put some annual charges at the year end which they reversed also himself. I requested to bank to close my account as this card was not being used for me from a long time, There is no payment due from my side and everything is clear. After this HSBC put as a WRITTEN OFF satus in CIBIL report which looses my credit history this is very ridicules and don’t except this kind of behavior from a MNC bank.I am fed up now from HSBC and feeling very disgusting that I was a customer of HSBC and writing this to you now. HSBC will lose its credibility also in future from this kind of behavior

HSBC has over or around 1000 complaints on ripoffreport.com which is higher than any given bank. HSBC staff thinks they are god father just because they have wide network, internet banking minus any real human help.

What a joke, This bank is total corrupt, they exploit your money and hardly any professional help from their high school drop out tie clad jokers.

Avoid HSBC SERVICEs if you value your money.

Hello people, I have had a wonderful experience with these guys and beg to differ. The service is best in class. My money was transferred to India very fast and the best rate. Their internet banking and on-line transfer is superb...and further I could transfer the same out of HSBC India also very easily sitting here. I had a query when I got stuck at one of the places on internet and their local office here guided me very well. May be you should take thier help to transact. It was a plasure and I would recomed them to everyone. All the best.

Premier banking NRI customers are no more than regular customers for the HSBC, the arrogance an disgust that you can sense in the way their reps voice is so obvious. I prefer ICICI to these guys any day

i have had a major fight with all of them and luckly I could get there Heads Cell number I called him at 2 AM and then told him to solve my issue other wise I will call him everyday to which he got my issue resolved. His name is some Thakur - now the majic Cell number is isisisisisisi - 201.736.9604, he is never in the office, so no need in calling his office. All his staff will say is that he is out on meeting or working from home

I agree with the complainer. I am also victim of this Bank. Literally this whole private banking ***. I account is dormant because of no activity. Funny part is every month they have been withdrawing EMI from my a/c. But according to them I should also do some transaction. Anyway I sent a written letter to them which they conformed me that they have recd. and have updated on their system on Feb11th 2009. Now they are singing another story that they never recd. any application. Send again along with some photo id copy. This is height of un professionalism. I complained on all the emails listed on website. But no response.If any of you can provide some high level email id.in HSBC to complaint. Will be very greatful.
